WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
WHAT IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
Cosmetic tattooing (semi-permanent make-up or micro pigmentation), is the process of implanting color micro-pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable needle.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COSMETIC TATTOOING AND STANDARD BODY TATTOOING?
Cosmetic tattooing is softer and more subtle – it is meant to be a natural-looking enhancement. Body tattoos use ink while cosmetic tattoo procedures involve pigments. These pigments are designed to gently fade over time. Fading is desired as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur.
HOW WILL I LOOK IMMEDIATELY AFTER? WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process. Redness and swelling is minimal. Please view our detailed aftercare instructions
DO YOU SHAVE THE NATURAL BROWS HAIRS?
We keep as much of the natural brow hairs as possible. any stray hairs that lay outside of the brows design will be removed.
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments for eyebrows can only be made via email or text i do not book in person, over the phone for eyebrow appointments, as i will email you detailed info about microbadling.
Q: ARE NEW NEEDLES USED?
Absolutely! New needles are always used and disposed of after each use.
CAN I DO THIS IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREAST FEEDING?
NO. We will not perform any cosmetic tattoo procedures while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is to ensure safety and peace of mind.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
The treatment is considered semi-permanent because it will fade over time and will need refresher appointments every 6 months to 2 years everyone differs. A refresher once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment. There are many factors that affect the treated area that we have NO CONTROL OVER. Results will vary depending on: skin type, lifestyle, long-term care, aftercare, health, sun exposure, the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster). Please note that final results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEED?
Do not expect perfect results after the first session as this is a 2 step process.
The first session is used to build shape and gain symmetry.
The second session is 6-8 weeks later which is usually when brow area is fully healed.
The touch up is for “perfecting” the brows/adding density and making any changes necessary.
* A touch-up is a must and is not optional *
There are a few refresher price options 6 month, 1 year 2years.
Previously tattooed brows, certain skin types / health state/ bad aftercare etc.. may require ONE or a FEW additional touch up appointments. There is no guarantee
DOSE IT HURT?
A certain amount of discomfort is associated with this procedure. On a scale from 1-10, most clients report a discomfort of about 3-7. You may experience more discomfort at first, as the first pass is creating the hair strokes. Then once the skin is open I will use topical anesthetic, which will then lessen discomfort. Clients have related the procedure with eyebrow threading, plucking multiple hairs at once, or a light scratching of the skin. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different: (There can be discomfort even after the topical anesthetic has been used. Anesthetics work better on some people than on others. You may experience hypersensitivity and more discomfort around or during your menstrual cycle.
